Does size matter?

The kittens are now the master and mistresses of the house. Or at least they think they are. And Max seems to agree.

Big tough Max weighs in at something over 30 kilos. And the kittens are between 560g and 720g (yes we did weigh them using kitchen scales, a cardboard box, and lots of persuasion to stay still!). So he is more than 50 times bigger than the smallest kitten – now named Mini-mum, as she so closely resembles her mother.

And yet Mini calmly settles down in the middle of Max’s bed. Will he eat her, or merely growl to scare her away?

No, he meekly creeps on to the edge of the bed, and quietly lies down. If she moves towards him, he gives her more space, even if this means he can no longer fit on to his own bed.

If the meek will inherit the earth, Max has a rosy future. Personally, I think these cats will rule!

Simon, You haven’t read the latest edition of the Health and Safety Regulations with reference to ‘wires snaking dangerously across the floor!!!!

Ha ha, Noreen! You have brought back ‘happy’ (?)memories of time with DCC. . . . Luckily, we no longer have to worry about this sort of thing. Anyway, kittens snaking across the floor are far more dangerous 🙂
