If Wishes Were Horses

Halloween has been and gone, and I did indeed get my grumpy ass outside amongst the trees to make another wish or two. But, to be honest, when I found the special place, and got my head all silent and into a proper sort of wishing mode, I realised that I couldn’t really think of anything to wish for. Not for myself anyway. Weird. Maybe this means that, actually, I am content. Who’d have guessed?

Sour Pumpkins

I have just returned (late – because of the French strikes) from The Homeland, to a lovely sunny, orange-leafed weekend, where Winter has decided to sneak off again, and wait round the corner for the proper time make its entrance. It is All Hallows Even and we have a huge pumpkin sitting outside the house on the garden table. Sadly, those two statements are not related.

Runaround Sue

So, there I was. Sitting in front of my laptop on a chilly, damp Sunday morning, with nothing-in-particular to do. Bored. Thinking maybe I could pass a bit of time writing something on the blog – something about llamas perhaps. And then thinking that there’s nothing to write about, because the llamas never do anything these days.

When, oh when, will I ever learn?
